15: A Lot of Movement
Aun: The earliest I can remember... there was a lot of movement.
(Aun remembers the scene long ago, as he and other Strasmin children ran a race together.)
Young Eni: Run! Run faster!
Young Aun: Nai!
Young Kuu: Wait-Ayi!
(They finish the race.)
Young Eni: Yai! I beat Aun!
Young Aun: You did, Eni! But I beat Kuu!
Young Kuu: Yme didn’t play, or I could’ve beaten someone too!
Young Aun: But why does it end here?
Young Eni: It doesn’t - we race back to the other side now!
Young Aun: Nai, I mean - why is that bump the end? We could keep running up the slope here...
Young Eni: Can’t.
Young Aun: Why?
Young Eni: Try it and see!
Young Aun: I will!
(Aun tries to run up the slope, but a claw at the end of a long segmented arm swoops down and grabs him before he can get far!)
Young Aun (yelling in surprise): NaiieeeEEEE...!
Young Kuu and Eni (laughing): Ehi! Ehi! Ehihihihi...!
