Yme: So that seems to neatly imprison my options. My intent in this case is best declared through my rough excuse for a weapon.

This rude stick cannot match my trusted tool, but if it is at all fit to be used for combat...
Then in fairness I must give it a chance to serve other purposes.

I’m at a crucial decision point, the time of day is not inappropriate, the Way of the Rod Spinner calls to me.
Although this stick is not attuned to my needs, it is what the World provides me now.
