Question: Eni has a choice of three frenting rods to use. Why is he using Aun's instead of his own, the one to which he's most accustomed? Somehow I doubt he'd be using it simply to get a good feel for the heft, in known-hostile territory.
I can understand why it might be important to the story, given that this frenting rod does contain a little bit of Oistrem (and khirrik) in it. But why would Eni choose it?
